Julie's Philanthropy

Julie's philanthropy dates back to high school. She enrolled in an elective class called Service to Society. Her major project was kickstarting a dance club in town where the profits went toward several local organizations like the battered woman shelter and the Food Shelf. Learning the importance of giving back at an early age has shaped Julie both as a person and as a professional.

The organizations that are nearest and dearest to Julie's heart are Conservation International. An organization that "is moving entire societies toward a healthier, more sustainable development path" by protecting our Earth's ecosystems. The American Cancer Society Look Good Feel Good Program. Julie volunteers by teaching beauty and wellness workshops to women and men undergoing treatment for Cancer. And Wish Upon a Wedding, an organization that provides weddings for individuals facing terminal illness.

Julie has also volunteered and/or donated to other organizations like Habit for Humanity, Feed My Starving Children, Park Nicollet Foundation, Operation Glass Slipper, Dress for Success, Bolder Options, Ronald McDonald House, Heifer Project, Big Brother Big Sister, Free Arts, The Women Funding Network, and has taught interviewing and resume writing skills to the YWCA Women in Transitional Housing.
